LASIK is a laser procedure that reshapes the clear front surface of your eye, the cornea, so light focuses correctly and you can see clearly without glasses or contacts.
It treats nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The surgeon uses a femtosecond laser to create a thin, protective flap in the cornea, then an excimer laser to reshape the tissue underneath to your exact prescription. The flap is set back in place and begins healing right away. No blade touches the eye, which is what "bladeless, all-laser" means.
